LDH Dreams For Children

LDH Dreams For Children logo (since 2017)

LDH Dreams For Children is the department of LDH that focuses the company's social contribution, community and welfare activities. Those activities center around supporting children, providing various experiences and conveying the fulfillment that comes with having dreams for the future.[1][2]

The social contribution department of LDH JAPAN was established in 2017 and its head is Koji Ichiki.

Projects sponsored by LDH[]

EXILE CUP[]

A soccer tournament event for elementary school students across Japan hosted annually since 2010.[3] In 2013, the program joined the Japanese soccer league and since 2016, the champion teams have been awarded a Football Musha Shugyo in Europe, a training camp in a European country.

DANCE CUP[]

An annual dance contest for students in Japan that started in 2014. The winning team receives a dance study trip to the United States, either New York or Los Angeles.

Dream Extracurricular Lecture[]

A project presented by THE TWENTY FIRST CENTURY CLUB in which people from various professional fields participate as guest teachers at elementary schools and middle schools. LDH JAPAN started actively supporting this project in 2006 and their artists have been participating in it by holding dance classes as teachers.

Ocean's Love[]

A volunteer-based surfing school for children with physical and intellectual disabilities organized by the non-profit corporation Ocean's Love and led by professional surfer Angela Maki Vernon. The project was established in 2005 and in 2010, LDH JAPAN started actively supporting it.

Collaborations with enterprises and local governments[]

Collaboration with Dai-ichi Life[]

On September 13, 2017, LDH JAPAN and Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company signed the "Comprehensive Partnership Agreement" on social contribution activities. The collaboration includes the revitalization and development of local communities, child care support, sports and health promotion, etc.
