DJ DARUMA

DJ DARUMA is a Japanese DJ, fashion designer and business man. He is a member of the DJ unit PKCZ® and a former member of the group DEXPISTOLS.

He is also a creative officer of LDH JAPAN.

Regarding his work in the fashion industry, he is the producer of the fashion brand FULL-BK and together with his wife, TOKO, he launched the kids' street wear brand TEG TEG in 2017 AW. While he acts as a director for this brand, his wife is the designer.

Career[]

He joined the dance unit BABY NAIL in 1997, with this being his first work in the entertainment industry.

In 1998, he joined Japanese Soul Brothers but did not stay in the group when the successor boy group J Soul Brothers was officially established.

From his mid-20s, he worked in Harajuku for about 10 years.[1][2]

In 2000, DJ MAAR and him formed the DJ unit DEXPISTOLS, which lasted until January 2015 when the unit announced an indefinite hiatus to focus on solo activities.

In January 1, 2014, he joined LDH and started being managed by the agency. In July of the same year he became a member of the DJ unit PKCZ®.

On May 11, 2019, he performed at the world's largest EDM festival "EDC Japan" held at ZOZO Marine Stadium in Chiba.[3]

On November 4, 2023, it was announced that DJ DARUMA had been appointed as a Creative Officer of LDH JAPAN, a role responsible for creating and transmitting the entertainment of LDH.[4]

Personal life[]

Family

He is married to TOKO, one of the pioneers of female DJs in Tokyo. The couple has two children. Their first daughter was born in 2009 while their second child, a son, was born in 2011.[5][6]
